FAQ's for our Club Basketball Program

Are the "Club Basketball Tryouts" for Patriot Basketball Academy the same thing as tryouts for the Patrick Henry High School (PHHS) basketball teams?

No, Patriot Basketball Academy ("PBA") is a year-round club/travel basketball development program, and not affiliated with the official PHHS basketball teams. For our high school aged players, the club program runs 3 seasons a year (not during the "winter" basketball season). For our younger players (4th through 8th grade), our club program runs all four seasons. At the beginning of each season, PBA holds tryouts to determine placement on one of our competitive age-level club basketball teams (for that specific season).

How much does the club basketball program cost?

  • $125 registration fee (one-time fee for new players only)
  • $375 season fee (renews each season)
  • Please contact Coach Kenny with any financial concerns (we want everyone in our community to have an opportunity to participate)

How many players are on each team's roster?

Our goal is to place 7-8 players on each team, with a minimum of 6, and a maximum of 8. Playing time is at the sole discretion of the coach.

If a player makes a specific age-level team, will they play only on that team, or will the teams be fluid with some playing on more than one team?

Each player will have a designated team ("primary team"). At the sole discretion of the coaching staff, players might be placed on an additional team ("secondary team"). In the case of a game scheduling conflict between the two teams, players must play with their "primary team".
